Due to growth in the puppy raiser community and social media, traffic on the list tapered off and the IPR Yahoo!Group was discontinued in 2013.  These pages remain as a tribute to those early puppy raisers and as an information source for newcomers.

Our members are people who raise puppies that will serve as Assistance Dogs.  This includes Guide, Service, Hearing and Seizure Response Dogs.  Almost every major Assistance Dog Provider is represented by our members.

We got our start in 1994 as loose knit group of about ten people.  At it's peak, there were over 150 members in The United States, Canada, Germany, Scotland, New Zealand and Australia.  Members communicated via the Puppyraisers Yahoo!Group.  Through the list, members had the opportunity to support one another and share ideas that fostered inter-agency cooperation.

Come in and visit.  See through our eyes the heartbreak of giving back a puppy you have come to love as your own; and the joy of watching that puppy change a life.
