The Dogs of Beacon Bay

We are a small hobby kennel located in Western Michigan. Our interests at this time are primarily Tracking, Agility, Herding and Rally Obedience.

We are members of the Australian Shepherd Club of America and The Grand Rapids Agility Club.

Those interested in the Australian Shepherd should be aware there are NO size varieties of Australian Shepherds. There is no officially recognized Australian Shepherd variety such as a "standard," a "mini/miniature" or a "toy" Australian Shepherd. These are all just marketing terminologies to facilitate the sale of animals that are in reality just dramatically under in size from the norm.

Responsible Australian Shepherd Breeders do not promote the sale of standard, mini/miniature or toy Australian Shepherds. This is a marketing ploy to sell pups for increased prices.

The Miniature Australian Shepherd/North American Shepherd/Toy Australian Shepherds are completely different breeds from the Australian Shepherds and they are not eligible for registration with the AKC, CanKC, ASCA or UKC.
