| After 14
years in the breed, I am finally ready to have a litter of my
own! My main goal in breeding this litter is to have a puppy to
keep for myself so a lot of thought has gone into this cross. Though PRNDL is darn near perfect to me, there are a couple of things I would like to improve on going forward: Size.
At 16 3/4", she is below the preferred height of the breed
standard. She is still nicely proportioned and balanced but the
standard calls for a medium-sized dog.
Rear. She moves close in the rear. It certainly doesn't slow her down but I would like to see cleaner movement. Intensity. She does anything I ask her with her whole heart and then some but this may be a bit much for some people. That is why I have selected Chuf to sire PRNDL's first litter. Chuf is a dog of substance and presence with a lovely rear and a breed appropriate yet laid-back temperament. My hope is for puppies that will mature to the smaller end of the preferred height range with the structure and temperament to be worthy competition partners and loving companions. Puppies will be born & raised in our home and well-socialized and started on their basic training. They will be ASCA/AKC registered and microchipped before going to their new homes.
